Merry Meet!
So I want to talk about something that really gets under my skin, asking for spells. All the time, on Facebook, I have people requesting for spells. This is a problem within the Wiccan community and one of the reasons that I don't consider them to be witches. If you have been a witch for a certain amount of time, and I'm not talking about the new ones, then why the heck are you asking for spells? I can't even figure that out for the life of me.
New witches are not a problem. I don't have a problem with them. I was new, but I have never asked for a spell and I never will. Know your damn shit is the same as knowing thy self. Know yourself! Know your damn craft! Stop the asking act!
I swear witches don't know how to damn think for themselves. This is a craft, and not a card game. I'm sick and tired of people asking for spells to protect their home, their children, their property. I'm tired of the asking for a healing spell. There are websites that are run by Wiccans that show you how to construct your own spell for anything that you need it for.
Go onto their website and use the information that is given to construct a spell and ritual. I have done several rituals and I have found that they have worked and have connected me closer to the divine. Heck I even craft my first rhyming spell. I felt like I had done something great. And that's the best feeling in the world. It means that you have done something and no one handed it to you.
This is one of the reasons that I don't like spell begging. All it does is show that you have not learned enough to call yourself a witch. To me, being a witch means that you know your stuff and therefore you do not need to ask for a spell. And since I have been doing this for twenty-three years, then I understand my stuff.
