Merry Meet!
Today marks 2 months since I fully returned to the path of Wicca and Hellenistic/Roman Wicca/Paganism/Polytheist. I have just loved being fully back practicing my chosen path, even if might confused the heck out of others. One of the things that I do plan on doing next month is to get my Hermes statue and place it on my altar. This month I got Athena, which I just really love.
I'm also getting things from Azuregreen and 13moons as well. In August I'll add Hex to the list and order my Yule and Hecate incense. The Summer Solstice was just great, full of energy, fairies, and the heat that marks a hot time before it all goes away and Fall comes around. I do intend to enjoy as much of it as I can. I hope that your month was just as great as mine.

Summer Solstice (2015)
Merry Meet!
Today is the Summer Solstice, a time with the day is longer and the veil between the world is the thinnest. It's a time to enjoy ourselves and to thank the god and goddess that we have food growing out of the ground. It's a time with the sun is at it's most powerful and that everything is at its peak. However it's also a day of mourning. The sun might be at its height but it's dying.
The Holy King and the Oak King fight to determine who will rule until Yule. I'm going to enjoy my Summer Solstice and I'm going to have as much fun as I can have. Have a blessed Summer Solstice and may the fairies and the spirits treat you well.

Going Deep Underground and Athenian Month of Skirophonion Begins
Merry Meet!
So I've been having one of these feelings that something just isn't right. One of the things that I've been noticing is that my mother is praying more and I feel that the prayers are directed towards me under the illusion of it being something else. I think that she's picking up that I'm practicing Wicca or close to it. One of the things that I have learned is to go with your feelings and to accept them as fact.
I understand that my mother is worried about me, but, please, don't make me feel that your directing them towards me. I will practice what I want and I'm not about to change things. I've even changed my name to my Magickal name just so that I can have peace and she can't find me. I hate having to do it, but I need the peace and I need the peace to practice my religion. On another side, the Athenian Month of Skirophonion will begin at sundown, tonight. I hope that you all have a good one.

Libations to Zeus (2015)
Merry Meet!
Part of my Roman/Hellenic Wiccan/Polytheist/ Pagan path is honoring the gods. And this month that goes to Zeus. I can't ignore the all powerful King of the Gods and this month is he is honored. I usually go outside to do any kind of godly honoring and I do have a stone that I use as an outdoor altar. I meditate there, now that the weather has warmed up, and I'm going to be pouring libation and burning incense. I don't have a statue of Zeus, but I have an eagle and that's his animal.
I went out and printed the ritual that I use for him, put it on the jump drive and printed it out. I'm going to be offering bread to him and then giving it to the birds. I will post a photo of the outdoor altar when I actually do the ritual. I hope that you all have a good one and may the gods bless you.

Working with The Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Playing Cards
Merry Meet!
So last week I got my order in and what was inside the order was my Gypsy Witch Fortune Telling Playing Cards. This deck I've been wanting for over two years! I just loved the whole feel of this deck and I felt that it was something that I could use without any problems. I've been working with this deck for nearly a week and I'm going to tell you that I really love it.
It's very easy for me to remember how to place the cards, if my wish is uncertain. The only thing that I have to work on is figuring out how to peace things together and form a story. I'm going to personally try a three card spread and see what happens. For now I'm doing a wish a day draw. I make a wish when the new day comes and the cards tell me, based on when the Joker appears, if my wish will come true. I've had some amazing results with this deck.
I've had a couple of people say that they have the deck, but I think that I'm the only one that's actually used it. I got rid of the massive amount of energy that was coming from the cards and I added my own. It's been a very interesting experience, to say the least. I hope that your having as good results with your deck as I'm having with mine. No matter what deck it is.

Getting Ready for the Summer Solstice
Merry Meet!
So next Sunday is the Summer Solstice, a time when the sun is at it's height but will start losing it's power as we get ready to go into the dark half of the year. And while, leading up to Lammas, we don't feel it, the sun is started to move away from where we are. One of the things that I love to do is get my altar ready for the Summer Solstice. One of the things that I always recommend to those new to the path is to find out what candles, stones, and herbs are good for a certain Sabbath.
I recommend 13moons as they have a whole section on holidays. Another thing that I like to do is drink summery drinks that I believe are perfect for this time of the year. We sit back and enjoy ourselves. We enjoy the presence of the fairies and the little people. And we morn the loss of the sun as we move away from the Summer Solstice and get ready for Lammas.
We know that it will soon be time for us to get our houses ready for the cold weather that's just around the corner and drinking hot drink and eating hot foods. My advice is to just enjoy this time of the year, don't hurry up Lammas, and to think about all the wonderful things that you will be doing this summer. The warm weather doesn't last forever and it's time to enjoy it.

Getting Back Into the Witchy Swing of Things

Today is Monday and today I'm going to talk about getting back into the witchy swing of things. I've been back in the religion of Wicca, fully, for nearly two months. The reason that I say this is that I've always worried about what my mother would think of my path as she was the one that forced me to leave. I don't do spells and rituals around her, mainly because I don't want her to pray and taint the energy around the spell.
If she knew that I was back in Wicca she would freak out. But I have learned more about Wicca during the couple of years that I haven't been fully practicing it than about anything else. Wicca isn't about spells and sabbaths, it's about connecting to something. I'm not a nature worshiper and so I don't have to worry about being called as such. But I do pay attention to things like climate change and I'm not blinded about what's going on in the real world.
Wicca can be practice so many different ways, that it's hard to find if someone is practicing Wicca. I'm just going to continue to practice, learn, grow, and keep things to myself.

Full Moon (June 2015)
Merry Meet!
Tonight is the Full Moon, a time to honor Artemis. It's also the half-way point in the Athenian month and one that I'm excited about. I did a video showing how I set things up on my altar for the Full Moon and I explained how I keep it like this until the New Moon. I find it very rewarding to show others how I do things instead of people wondering. It helps to give others ideas.
So tonight I will be honoring Artemis and I hope that her light shines down on you.

Honoring my God, Apollo
Merry Meet!
Tonight I honor my god, Apollo. The god of healing, prophecy, music, poetry, and disease. As this is going to be a short post, I hope that you all have a good one and I hope that Apollo blesses you. Now some might wonder what I do on the night that I honor Apollo. I ask him for healing and I also do a three card reading to find out how this Athenian month will be.
As we are nearing the end of the month of May, I view this as a time to reflect and to think about the month that's ending and the month that's coming. I believe those things are important. I do this ritual every time Apollo's birthday comes upon me. And I have found that has connected me to the divine.

Honoring my Goddess, Artemis, and Been a Greek Witch for a Month
Merry Meet!
So tonight, at sundown, I honor my goddess Artemis. I have four goddess that I honor like I have four gods that I honor. My main gods are Artemis and Apollo. My other gods are Athena, Hecate, Hera, and Hygeia. My other four gods are Poseidon, Apollo, Zeus and Hygeia's father, Asclepius. I do sometimes honor Ares and Hephaestus, but Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Hecate, Hera, Hygeia, Poseidon, Apollo, Zeus, and Asclepius are the main ones.
So I will be honoring her, tonight, and giving her the ritual that she deserves. Another great thing about today is that I have been a Greek Witch, or Hellenistic Wiccan, for a month. It has been great and I have enjoyed it. I'm working through Laurie Cabot's book and I will be doing a book review once I'm done. I'm just taking my time with the book. I own it, and don't see the need to hurry up.

Pet Peeve: Asking for Spells
Merry Meet!
So I want to talk about something that really gets under my skin, asking for spells. All the time, on Facebook, I have people requesting for spells. This is a problem within the Wiccan community and one of the reasons that I don't consider them to be witches. If you have been a witch for a certain amount of time, and I'm not talking about the new ones, then why the heck are you asking for spells? I can't even figure that out for the life of me.
New witches are not a problem. I don't have a problem with them. I was new, but I have never asked for a spell and I never will. Know your damn shit is the same as knowing thy self. Know yourself! Know your damn craft! Stop the asking act!
I swear witches don't know how to damn think for themselves. This is a craft, and not a card game. I'm sick and tired of people asking for spells to protect their home, their children, their property. I'm tired of the asking for a healing spell. There are websites that are run by Wiccans that show you how to construct your own spell for anything that you need it for.
Go onto their website and use the information that is given to construct a spell and ritual. I have done several rituals and I have found that they have worked and have connected me closer to the divine. Heck I even craft my first rhyming spell. I felt like I had done something great. And that's the best feeling in the world. It means that you have done something and no one handed it to you.
This is one of the reasons that I don't like spell begging. All it does is show that you have not learned enough to call yourself a witch. To me, being a witch means that you know your stuff and therefore you do not need to ask for a spell. And since I have been doing this for twenty-three years, then I understand my stuff.
